Taking a journey we become faced with the necessity of resolving the problem of accommodation. Now we’ll try to give you some interesting information about one good variant. If you do not have much money, and at the same time do not want to live at the back of beyond, our advice will be suit you.

Shortly before global financial crisis a whole number of European business owners decided to offer hotels corresponding to tourist’s expectations in comfort at low rates. Now these small hotel companies actively extend the sphere of influence.

Owners of airlines became authors of two hotel marks, offering modern comfort at low rates: rooms in these hotels resemble cockpits in the plane or a train compartment in the area extent.

The first “budgetary” hotel with rooms from 6 to 14 sq. m. was opened in London in 2005 and received a name “Easy Hotel”. The hotel is in a walk-up, safety is guaranteed: only visitor employee of hotel can enter, using individually made electronic key. Every room is equipped with a comfortable bed and a bathroom. The hotel also has an advantage of location in one of the central, aristocratic regions of London, in Southern Kensington.

Today, six “easy Hotels” are functioning in London, two of which are located near stations Victoria and Paddington and two others are near Heathrow and Luton airport. Four hotels of this network appeared outside Great Britain: in Basel, Zurich, Budapest and Larnak. A room costs 20 euros per day, but additional services – using the Internet, TV viewing, change of bedclothes, room cleaning, leaving your luggage in the cloakroom – are payed separately. So, the tariff policy of the hotel can be characterized like: “the visitor pays only for what he uses”.

In the nearest future opening of such hotels in Berlin, Sofia, and Porto, and also in business region of Dubai is planned. It’s interesting that in 2009 the London architectural bureau ZMMA made new design of “easy Hotel” rooms. Opening 200 “easy Hotels” during 10 years is in plans of the network owner. Ten of them will be opened in Great Britain during next three years.

Business rival of the easy Hotel appeared practically at once. The owner of the “Yo!” restaurant network Simon Vudroff made his début in hotel industry with opening hotels in the airports. The first hotel, which he named “Yotel” was opened in London in July, 2007 and besides 32 comfortable suites of two categories – “standard” (7 sq.) and “premium” (10 sq.) were offered to visitors unusual for hotels, but convenient for transit passengers tariffs. So, minimum term of room reservation is four hours, if you need more, hourly pay is used. Day of habitation in a room of category “premium” will cost you nearly 80 pounds sterling.

The success of the new hotel network gives rise to ambitious plans of its founder: he wants to make “Yotel” a part of every large airport on all continents. And, of course, it will be very comfortable for unpretentious tourists.

All over the world tourist services are in popular demand. According to prognosis of progress in tourist courses, made by World tourist organization (WTO) and presented in the research «Tourism: 2020 Vision», the most perspective directions of tourism in XXI will be: cruises, ecological (including adventure tourism) and thematic tourism. It is estimated that only ecotourism provides year-on-year increase (5 %) of gross receipts.

Adventure tourism started developing actively after the Second World War when peaceful use of products of war industry began. With the lapse of time this type of tourism got widely popular in many countries and became the whole industry with its players (travel agencies, manufacturers), self-regulatory bodies (all sorts of associations, funds etc. both on an international and national scale), mass media (popular magazines, television broadcasts, Internet portals), schools and institutes.

However, today world adventure tourism is a very small market niche. And it is an evenly growing segment. For the past five years, it became substantially bigger, especially in Europe and the USA. The largest tourist associations and funds attest to results of the researches spent by them.

According to Outdoor Industry Foundation 57 % of the population of the USA took part in some kinds of activity (including rock-climbing, mountain bicycle, rafting, camping etc.). Moreover, 45% of them want to try new types of activity, to broaden their notions about adventures. It is also interesting that among those who did not take part in adventure programs, 24% want to try to do this in the future. It means that 81 % of all population of the USA are a potential audience of adventure tours and programs of the active rest.

According to the survey of Travel Industry Association of America 98 million people made adventure tours during last five years. A quarter of those who did not take part in adventure programs, wants to do this during the following years.

Americans spent 245 trillion dollars for adventure tours in 2000 (120 trillion on travel and 125 trillion on equipment). In 2005, this statistics grew to 594,3 trillion dollars that means an incredible rising of popularity of adventure tourism in USA.

Adventure tourism is one of the main markets for British tourists, it brings near 2 million quids a year. The market of adventure tourism grows in Canada at a very quick rate, making annual growth of 20 %. A considerable part of foreign tourists (about 40 % from total number of the tourists visiting the country) come to India and New Zealand looking for extreme entertainments, providing permanent influxes of capital to these countries.

One of the impressive tendencies in the industry of adventure tourism in USA and Europe is increasing importance of female audience. Many adventure agencies stake on women on the shady side of forty. They leave their domestic chores, children and husbands, and go on travels.

People started to get pooped out of a word “crisis”. It is a good tiredness which forces to search for something new; there are even some innovations in the ways of rest in fashion. We are speaking about industrial tourism, which is dynamite, sure. If you never heard about it, listen!

Industrial tourism is the organization of regular tourist tours on working (or worked) plant facilities. Industrial tourism is a phenomenon. Only in France 1700 companies received tourists on its industrial areas in 2007. The tidal power station in Rance, which annually receives 300 000 tourists is in the lead in this country. Chocolate factory Kedberri in England is visited by 400 000 people a year. In Spain – wine rounds, in France – cheese, in the Netherlands – flowers become a platitude…

For every serious company in USA keeping tourists off is a sign of poor form, they hold dear their reputation. The leader of attendance in Germany is a motor works BMW in the Bavarian Wolfsburg (260 thousand tourists a year).

Modern tourists are «collectors of places». And it is not bad. We are the victims of global speeding-up and standard tourist assortment does not serve our turn. And we want complex impressions. We want to combine rest with education, the convalescent time with excursions, visiting a business conference with sports activity, sight-seeing, and shopping. So, industrial tourism is just what is needed. An ordinary city opens from the unusual side. The products are made “online”, you can touch (and in certain cases help to make) try them on, and buy. Industrial tourism is a good choice for travellers with children. Child at the age of how’s and why’s want to know, what an ice-cream and a chocolate do, before they see it in a supermarket.

Such objects which are brands of concrete cities are the most popular. For example, people always want to see a port complex in Rotterdam or factory “Rolex” in Zurich. The city provides popularity of a brand.

Excursions to Moscow confectionary producing plants are well-known in Russia from a Soviet period. But it is very difficult to get on such excursions. They receive only special visitors and sometimes school groups. It is possible to visit concern “Baltic” in St.-Petersburg, Tula and Chelyabinsk, factory “Crystal” in Moscow.

If you like this type of rest and feel all profits of it, think, what is needed for its organization. As practice shows, financial expenses on the organization of tours to working plant facilities are not catastrophic. And if you know some interesting modes of production, and your staff can show it to every gaper, you can really hit the jackpot! Try to cooperate with civic leaders and establish good relations with them, because anyone can’t fight city hall, and good luck!

Now real life is teaching us how to get frugal. But this does not imply that we need to get worse stuff. And last minute vacation deals is one of the examples. With the help of last minute vacation deals you can receive really great traveling experience for a much lower price.

Are you looking for the rest, which will give you real happiness? Go to Bali then! Terraces of rice fields, dense jungle and straw towers of many-tier Hinduistic temples promise an outright release from bustle of cities.

What does megalopolis dweller want after 15 hours spent in airplane? He wants calmness. This nature, its smells, sounds and magnificent greenery, make you feel at ease.

For the most part of the year, Bali is teeming with tourists. And in spite of the fact that the island is in a zone of seismic activity, all tsunamis and typhoons pass it by. There are no mind-blowing prices: you can get good food at restaurant for $10, hire a bicycle for only $6 per day, and rent a small house only for $200. Bali is a paradise for the fans of yoga and spa. Almost every hotel offers yoga master classes and a variety of spa-procedures.

The most widespread meditation on Bali is sitting, deeply breathing and smiling. Such simple exercise charges with energy, helps to struggle with anger, melancholy or panic and gives the feeling of happiness.

Two main towns in Bali are singularly unlike each other. Usually, European tourists choose for rest coastal Cuth, where they will find developed infrastructure and series of the well-known luxurious hotels. In Cuth you can bathe in the Indian Ocean, go surfing and organize full moon party. But in Cuth you feel, as at any resort where there is a sea or ocean, cafe with sandwiches and even “MacDonald’s”.

Ubuda is a different pair of shoes. This city is loved by those who is looking for calmness in combination with local color. Painters move here in search of inspiration.

The best way to study an island is cycling. Rushing by winding road near small houses, haystack, Bali temples, you feel happy.

Balinese cuisine tastes and smells specifically enough. Unusual combinations of components and piquant pungent sauces are its main features. Balinese mix seafood with vegetables and nuts, young papaya with carrots, vegetable marrows and Cayenne pepper. A big glass of water is served up for Europeans.

The most known dish of the local cuisine is Ayam Betutu. It is a hen. But it is cooked during 12 hours. And if you wish to try real local delicacy, it is necessary to order it the day before. Ibu Oka is one of the most popular restaurants, try it.

Balinese are Hindus, they believe that in each square centimeter of the earth and air gods and demons live. They sacrifice to the gods some flowers, fruits, cookies, rice, aromatic sticks in palm leaves several times a day. Local people try to “get on” with island, which has six unpredictable active volcanoes. Last time gods were dissatisfied in 1963. Balinese cleanse their karmas, praying to Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu five times a day.

Today real life is teaching us how to get frugal. But this does not imply that we need to get lower quality stuff. And last minute vacation deals is a perfect example. Using the last minute vacation deals you can receive really great vacation experience for a much lower price.

Well, who does not dream to become the owner of teeming treasures in the twinkling of an eye? Treasure hunting became a sort of sports recently. It becomes an original and luxurious hobby. The majority of treasure hunters spend much more money, than found subjects cost, but after all everyone must pay for pleasure.

You must know, that economic backbone of “auriferous” tourism is an increasing of gold cost at the expense of involvement tourists in a gold mining. The owner of a goldfield collects payment for work on his lot and renders to tourists various paid services and reaps the benefit. Each tourist brings with them some thousand dollars, and takes away only 1-5 grams of gold. So, each gram of gold brings the owner more than 1000$.

In America, Australia, Switzerland, Italy and many other countries gold mining tourism provides local population with work in services sector, good commodity circulation, favors the building of hotels, roads, equipping a territory with services and utilities.

For example, small Switzerland has pure and stream gold. They don’t let specialists in, because they will dig out all gold during first year. Swisses cherish their gold. It is extracted only by dilettantes and tourists. All conditions are created for them: pay money, and cradle to your heart’s content, you can take part in competition and receive the «certificate of the gold digger». Sometimes, and this is the truth, tourists get wonderful finds and may be it is a time to try your hands in treasure hunting.

Tourist gold mining is organized differently in different countries. For example, Australia invites rich tourists from the USA and Japan to play gold diggers. They are furnished by radio-metal locators and other equipment. For gold mining you can buy the license, it can be whole-life license and it will costs you only 50$. The extracted gold and its export are not taxable. When you visit Australia for the first time, you can get a painful impression. Thousands of people fuss in the real desert …. The heat is unbearable. But time, which you reserve for gold hunting, slides.

In Australia it is also possible to search for gold in small rivers, but you need a map or a guide.

This type of tourism gives life to regions where industrial gold mining has already been stopped. There is such situation in legendary Dawson in Alaska. In this city, the basic events in the beginning of the last century developed. Last large gold mining company left Dawson in 1966. But some small gold mining companies, including family businesses continue working here. Its owner rents his goldfields to gold diggers of the XXI century. There is a great number of people willing to try their fortune. If you are one of them, we wish you good luck!

If you have decided to fork out money for the best hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh, don’t lie on the beach with arms outspread, make an excursion! We will recommend you something really interesting.

Saint Catherine’s Monastery of Mount Sinai is an orthodox monastic centre, which has existed and kept its special character since the government of Byzantine emperor Justinian (527-565). The name of this monastery is associated with a legend about Saint martyr Catherine living in 296 AD in Alexandria and put to death by the emperor Maksiminius for her faith.

As the legend says, Catherine’s body disappeared soon after execution, and was wonderfully taken by angels to the highest point of Sinai mountains, which was later named after her. Three centuries later, by the will of God, some monks from Sinai monastery found her body and it was entombed in a sarcophagus.

The founder of Islam prophet Mohammed, Arabian Caliphs, Turkish sultans and even Napoleon patronized this monastery, and, of course, this prevented its plunder.

Saint Catherine’s Monastery has never been hijacked, destroyed or simply damaged. It retains the image of a sacred bible place through the centuries.

Now Saint Catherine’s Monastery of Mount Sinai is the smallest eparchy in the world, with a Sinai archbishop at the head. Sinai archbishop wears full episcopal vestments with a forked cap, sceptre and gold cross. The monastery belongs to Greek-orthodox church.

There are red walls around the monastery from 12 to 15 metres in height, cornered by watchtowers and occupying the territory of a nonperfect square. Outside the monastery walls there is a whole town with architecture of different epochs and styles.

Saint Catherine’s Monastery is a place of traditional pilgrimage. Here there are a lot of icons, bells, church utensils, ancient books. There is also a library in the monastery, its size is not more than 15?10 metres, but it is the library of primary importance, it ranks with the library of Vatican, because there are really pricelessness books in it. Near six million manuscripts and tomes in Greek, Arabian, Armenian, Coptic, Georgian, Syrian languages on theological, historical and scientific themes are kept in this room.

On the territory of monastery you can see the burning bush, the bush in flame of which the Saviour appeared before Moses and ordered him to take away the children of Israel from the Egyptian captivity. The chapel of the burning bush is located near the church of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ and it is the most holy place in a monastery. The altar of this chapel is directly on roots of the burning bush and is devoted to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin. The image of Mother of God in the centre of the burning bush, holding in her hands the Child Jesus is visible to the naked eye in the icon up till now.

And it is not important, what confession you belong to, and believe you or not in everything written in Bible, here you will feel the spirit of those ancient events.

Now real life is teaching us how to get frugal. But this does not mean that we need to get lower quality stuff. And last minute vacation deals is one of the examples. Using the last minute vacation deals you can receive really great vacation experience for a much lower price.

If you want to have a really magic vacation, we’ll recommend you a really magic borough. Thanks to a rarity of the place and beauty of architecture Mont Saint-Michel is one of the main sights of France. It is a rocky islet, the perimeter of which is not more then one kilometer, rises on 80 metres over the sea.

Mont Saint- Michel is the powerful granite rock crowned with a monastery and an enormous cathedral, devoted to Saint Michael. Here emerald green sea coast begins (don’t confuse with Azure!), it is the Mecca for silent and luxurious rest.

In the Middle ages people have decided to settle on this rock, surrounded with water and sand, and pray there to God and Saint Michael.

Mont Saint-Michel is a place of pilgrimage of West European Christians. Sick people hope for a miracle, the religious ones pray for absolution and fulfillment of hopes.

As the legend has it, this abbey, built on a granite rock, separated from the land by water in the time of rising tide, was founded in the VII century by a bishop of the city at command of Archangel Michael. The island made comfortable by monks, represents today the real reserve of the Middle Ages. La Merveille (from French “miracle”) is the three-level building built in Gothic style, which is the most beautiful part of an architectural ensemble of a monastery. About 200 people live in the fortress nearby, they are basically monks and attendants.

The time when the abbey was the centre of monks pilgrimage, dreaming to spend the rest of their life in a holy place, became a thing of the past. Nowadays, its magic attraction involving millions of tourists, coming here from every corner of the globe to see this wonderful island, to walk on streets of ancient small town, to go down by stairs leading to the sea and to admire the well-known rising tide. If you are looking for something special, this place is for you, because it is a great source of a positive energy. Small streets are very narrow and entirely speckled with small restaurants, mini-hotels and souvenir shops. The narrowest street, which has its own name, is 55 centimeters wide.

The schedule of its tides during a year is in a small book, which you can buy in shops with magazines or (this is curiously enough) in fish stores. It is called “Annuaire des marées” and costs €1, 70. You must have it, because tides can be seen every day at different time.

The French consider Mont Saint-Michel and its cove “the eighth miracle of the world”, and Europeans say that it is a «miracle of the Western Europe».

Mont Saint- Michel is designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

Wreck diving is a specific, uneasy, and sometimes even dangerous entertainment. In training system there is a separate course – submersion to a sunken ships (wreck diving).

And if you want something special, wreck-diving will promise you a contact with secrets and adventures.

All the seas have witnessed many ship-wrecks, and their remains became objects of research for divers from every corner of the globe. Some sunken ships rest on reefs and can be easily reached during a one-day trip on a dive-boat.

An extreme diving and one of its varieties – wreck-diving become more and more popular among fans of diving. Sunken ships, reposed in the depths of the sea, keep unsolved secrets and attract more and more people. Sunk ships continue their life under the water.
Except processes of metal oxidation and slow destruction, the new life comes into being. This is a life in symbiosis with underwater inhabitants. Over some years corals begin to occupy surfaces of the ship, fish choose the interstice. There are also a lot of morays and turtles on a sunk ship.

Shall you get inside diving on a wrack? No, if you are an amateur.
Be it a historical ship, which was gone during a war or a storm, or a usual merchant vessel, sunk to diver’s joy, wreck-diving is something that makes blood of divers boil in the finest sense of the word. It is one of the most dangerous types of diving, especially for those who get inside without special training and equipment.

The first step to safe diving on wracks is the certificate of the entry-level wreck-diver. The majority of dive-schools offer this course. It will give you skills of differentiating the basic dangers, taking place outside the wrack. Among all dangers the most hazardous are total disorientation, sharp metal borders and risk to get enmeshed in scraps of nets and ropes. This initial stage of wreck-diving is also the first step to a more advanced level.

Training submergences are oriented towards potential dangers detection testing. Metal parts of the ship can make your compass almost useless, that’s why you must learn to use natural reference points.

The following level of trainings gives the skills of the limited penetration. Divers of this level (LPD) use traditional equipment for recreational diving.

The majority of diving schools include in term “limited penetration” swimming in simple through parts of wrack where risk to get in a trap is minimal, and a diver can be near naturally shined zone. LPD should not rely upon the light percolating through sidelights and other impenetrable apertures, and always should keep an eye on the input-exit place.

The most dangerous enemy for LPD is a loss of visibility. Pure water inside wrack becomes turbid by little parts of rust, silt and other sediments. That’s why LPDs learn penetration only into premises with wide inputs and, if it is possible, more than with 1 exit.
Full penetration is the most advanced form of wreck-diving and it is an amusement only for divers skilled enough for such submergence.

Now life is showing us how to get frugal. But this does not imply that we need to get worse stuff. And last minute vacation deals is a perfect example. Using the last minute vacation deals you can receive really great vacation experience for a much lower price.

Ethnic Tour

Nostalgic or ethnic tour is a wonderful type of exotic rest. During such trips, tourists learn some ethnic population groups, their life, features of culture, special features of their way of life etc. It is a good way to get more information about your roots or to study history, if you are a scientist. Thanks to such innovation in the travel companies, many people even found the distant relatives in other countries. Sometimes people want to visit places where their fathers and grandfathers lived, or if they were evicted from their house, their land. Now you understand why the second name of such tours is a nostalgic tour, exactly because the nostalgia calls the most of people to learn different culture instead of a rest on a sea waves.

There are many immigrants in the world, let’s sort all migrations on forced and voluntary for convenience. The migrations of all the nations are done because of force in the history of every country happened more than once. There are military, political, religious reasons. The reason of voluntary migration can be the business factor, because people wanted a better life in other countries, lands, continents.

Thousands of Norwegians and Irish migrated to Iceland and Greenland in due time. A long time ago pilgrims left their native land and went to America by religious reasons. All World wars have initiated many waves of migration. Germans of the Volga region for the last two hundred years have changed not a single country, changing of laws turn them out to Russia, to Kazakhstan, and now back to Germany.

It is possible to enumerate many migratory movements of different nations, but we’ll turn the conversation to another subject. Mass creation of ethnic (nostalgic) tours gives you something to think about. Of course, this is a possibility to understand a life of your ancestors, to trace your ancestry and, probably, to choose a new inhabitation, to come back home.

At the beginning of the 90-s nostalgic tours have started to appear in Russia. Thousands of tourists-Finns came here to visit a native land of their gaffers. Basically these tourists are old people who want to visit places of their youth. During the Second World War, half a million of Finns have left the Leningrad region and have departed either to Finland, or to Sweden. Now many of their offsprings arrive to feel their past life.

For realization of these dreams special tour agencies have been created. “Matka Maailma OY”, “FinnSovtours” offer such trips for Finns.

Also it is possible to mark out such type of nostalgic trip, as visiting relatives and friends. But this type of tourism won’t do for everyone, only for those, who has genetic relatives in the countries you go.
