There has always been an interest of within to one day visit Egypt. Think Egypt and you probably think of ancient treasures – where ‘Giza’ is not Cockney from London. Sun baked beaches and clear water are replaced by the thought of the great Pyramids.

If your idea of great Egypt holidays involves being near or in water, then Hurghada may well be the place for you. This great place has lots to do, and is no surprise that it is known as the ‘Red Sea Riviera’.

Some of the activities on offer include: windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing and diving. What is special about Hurghada is that you can enjoy the diving without being an expert. You only need a snorkel to witness some to the most wonderful underwater scenes in the world.
Four miles south the southern section of Sharm El Sheikh stands on a cliff overlooking the port. and is a great view.

Na’ama Beach is one of the centre of the tourist activities. Located just north of Sharm, this area is developing into a resort town of its own. Most Sharm El Sheikh hotels at Na’ama Bay have their own, private beaches with comfortable amenities such as chairs, shades and even bars.

Shark’s Bay is also nearby, and again is a growing resort community with more and more to offer, along with several diving centers.

If an Egyptian beach holiday is not what you are looking for, then consider a tranquil cruise on one of the longest rivers in the world.

Nile Cruises are the perfect way of seeing life as it has always been in Egypt. Little has changed over many centuries, so the sights should stir great emotion within. The tour will visit Esna, where you can see the temples of Karnak and Luxor, and stroll among the great temple of Amun Ra. Egypt Holidays For All The Family

Would your favorite family holiday to Mediterranean resort if asked be perhaps Italy or Spain?

A growing trend exists for holiday makers who would put Egypt as their favourite choice. This may seem unbelievable, but think of the available coastline of the Mediterranean Egypt has to offer.

The coast spans from Alexandria in the east to Libya in the west.

There is plenty on offer for luxury holidays in an area which still boasts its fair share of original and authentic villages. The picturesque village of Al-Hamman, built 2,700 years ago by the Greeks, reflects some of the country’s rich cultural history. It became known for its cistern, one of a series built by the Romans along the coastal route. The bustling and lively market was first used by pilgrims from Africa.

It has now become a commercial centre for the new holiday villages and resorts. Sidi Abdel Rahman is another popular Egypt holidays destination, which boast stunning white sandy beaches and clear seawater. The downside to the northern resorts would be the inconsistency of climate.
The resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada however, enjoy sunshine all year round and have a wealth of activities for visitors.

Sharm El-Sheikh, the ‘City of Peace’, was once a quiet fishing village until as recently as 1968. It is completely different today, and has evolved into one of the most visited resorts in Egypt.

It is the centre of the country’s diving industry, and boasts some of the best luxury hotels in Egypt. The underwater scenery is stunning, with crystal clear water. A large variety of fish live within the confines of the beautiful reefs, which are clearly visible when diving. You don’t have to be the world’s best diver to enjoy all of this.

You can see all the beautiful sights using just a snorkel. It is not just for accomplished scuba divers, as challenges exist for all levels.
