Thanks to technology which has made these things cheaper than they used to be earlier. Cruise lines offer cheap tickets for cruise ships and at the same time they provide last minute discounts too, which are very benefic for those families which want to stay and enjoy on cruise. These last minute discounts are the strategic part of the business which they offer to book even those seats which are empty. In cruise, all the seats which are not booked before the departure of cruise are offered with great discounts. Cruisers who are in search of heavy discounts can book their tickets at eleventh hour of booking, and in this way both the cruiser and cruise will get the benefit.

But on the other side, it’s not sure that the services and the amenities offered by the cruise are also cheap like tickets. The main problem in cheap cruises is that the services and the facilities are fairly costly in cheap cruises. For these quite expensive amenities, customers have to pay these charges, because there is no way to come out from this.

These days, to make more money, cruise lines are also focusing on the all category of people for enhancing the percentage of people in the cruise ships. There are lots of services available in cruises which actually a cruiser wants in their cruise for enjoying and relaxing. Before choosing a cruise, customers also want excellent services to be offered on the cruise and the feasible amounts of amenities, which one like most such as foodstuff, lodging, and amusement facilities which are the main factors which attract a customer a lot.

In all cruise lines, the United States of America is one the best cruise line which generally deals with Caribbean cruises, which set out from several ports like New York, Miami, and Ohio. Some take cruising in a different way by hiring the entire cruise for the celebration of birthday or marriage. They do so generally show off their identity in a different way. Some other kinds of events are also held to collect fund for various causes.

So, a stay on cruise ship is now a common phenomenon which attracts people not only to visit some places and enjoy a vacation, but also to have celebration of various types.

Excellent Proposals For Locking In A Honeymoon Cruise

Cruises are romantic, relatively all-inclusive and a wonderful way to see a variety of ports on board a glamorous ship – making them a premier choice for honeymooners. If you’re planning on booking a honeymoon cruise, keep reading for great tips on how to book a beautifully romantic honeymoon cruise vacation.

Check the Ship’s Age Restrictions

Because your honeymoon is a romantic time away, you may want to opt for a cruise that is geared specifically toward couples and adults rather than families with children.

Most cruise lines offer sailings and ships that have age restrictions. These boats are typically restricted to unmarried individuals over the age of 25 and married individuals over the age of 21. Before you book an age-restricted cruise, make sure you meet the ship’s requirements.

Splurge on Something

Either book a small, inside cabin on a luxurious ship or a larger cabin on a smaller ship, but try to splurge on something. You’re supposed to be saving for your new life, but you don’t want to remember your honeymoon as being cramped inside a sardine tin. Remember to call ahead to have a bottle of champagne waiting for you when you arrive.

Read Traveler Reviews

Before you book a romantic honeymoon cruise, read through online traveler reviews. By reading other honeymooners’ and vacationers’ notes about their experiences, you’ll get an accurate idea about the ambience of the ship, the quality of its facilities, food and accommodations.

Book for Your Interests

If you plan on actually leaving your cabin, book a cruise and destination that appeals to your interests. If you both love wine tasting, then opt for a cruise that includes shore-side wine tours and nightly wine tasting. If you’re into adventure travel, look for something that offers scuba diving alongside rock climbing and spelunking.

Remember, for almost every interest, there’s a cruise that caters to it, so you should be able to find just about any specialty you desire.

Get Married On Board

Many ships offer wedding packages that allow couples to even get married on board. Fully catered and officiated by the ship’s captain, cruise ship marriages are easy to organize and legal.

If you’re looking for a “destination wedding” that includes a honeymoon, a cruise wedding is simple and definitely doable. Typically, cruise lines (like Carnival Cruises) offer wedding packages that range from a simple ceremony with cake and decorations to fully catered events that include an open bar, entertainment and shore-side activities.

Summer Cruising-Travel Tips to Enjoy Your Cruise!

Ahh summertime. Warm weather, school is out, longer days, and of course-vacation. Just because this summer is flying by does not mean you missed your chance to book a relaxing getaway cruise!

FINDING THE BEST CABIN LOCATION
There’s a lot of confusion and misinformation concerning cabin location
choice on modern cruise ships. High speed elevators whisk passengers from lower to higher decks and return in seconds. Modular construction insures that cabins on lower decks are identical with their counterparts further up. If these premises are correct, what should the savvy cruise traveler be looking for in their cruise cabin location and does it really matter at all?

Modern cruise ships are fully stabilized and in normal weather conditions,
display no discernible difference in motion between deck locations. Our vast super liners ensure the comfort of even the most motion sensitive passengers in almost all circumstances. However, in some inclement weather scenarios, cabins closest to center ship may have less motion than forward or aft cabins. Imagining a pendulum will explain the comparative motion as it relates to deck location. Ironically, cabins located on lower decks are generally lower in cost and yet also may indicate less motion under certain conditions than a comparable higher deck cabin.

Based on these assumptions, why pay a higher rate for a higher deck cabin? It comes down to convenience. On many cruise ships, decks that contain restaurants, show rooms, pool decks, spas etc tend to be on middle to higher decks which are more easily accessible from higher deck cabins. The decision of whether to pay more is more a function of budget limitation rather than overall enjoyment of the cruise experience. The choice is yours.

UPGRADING YOUR CRUISE CABIN
Getting an upgrade on your cruise cabin means that you pay a lower rate and get a cabin which is listed in a higher category on the published deck plan without paying a supplement. Upgrades may be in the same cabin type such as inside to inside (no ocean view) but located on a higher deck or they may be in a different cabin type such as inside to outside (ocean view). How can the savvy cruise traveler arrange a cabin upgrade?

1. Special Promotions – Cruise Lines sometimes offer cabin upgrades as an incentive based on a qualifying factor. The qualification may be membership in a past passenger group, a group promotion, payment with a certain credit card, frequent flier promotion, or other qualification. Check with your agent at the time of booking to confirm whether any of these promotions are available.

2. Guarantee- To Be Assigned (TBA) Some cruise lines permit booking in a guaranteed category with the POSSIBILITY of upgrade with the actual cabin number assignment being made closer to sailing date. As the name implies, the passenger is guaranteed that his cabin will be at least the equivalent of the rate paid. Booking on a guaranteed TBA requires some flexibility on the part of the passenger but in many cases, rewards this flexibility with a cabin upgrade

3. Registration for Upgrade – Some cruise lines allow passengers to register for a possible upgrade if one becomes available. This approach normally gives the client an immediate cabin number and the option of accepting or rejecting an upgrade if available. The upgrade option is usually offered close to sailing date.

A Useful Lowdown on Cheap Celebrity Cruise

The premium cruise line offers a Celebrity Cruise, which has luxury ships and exotic destinations. By the name, anyone can get confused and think that it must be very expensive. But the truth is even a cheap Celebrity Cruise is available and one can enjoy significant savings and discounts on premium facilities.

Celebrity Cruises started in 1989 with a view to offer high quality cruises at reasonable prices. The advent of Celebrity Cruises brought about revolution in the cruise industry by introducing the finest gourmet cuisine at sea. Some time later in 1995, it launched the Century-class fleet and a luxury spa, AquaSpa® by Elemis. Soon after a short spell of success in 1997, Celebrity Cruises merged with Royal Caribbean International.

Thinking of all this, it seems that Celebrity Cruises are not meant for all. But, there are several ways to enjoy a cheap Celebrity Cruise. A cheap Celebrity Cruise is offered in the form of special incentives, credits, and cash back just for booking far in advance. There are a few ones who have patience to wait until the last minute. Their patience bears fruit, as they are likely to get some cheap deal. This deal can benefit them up to 75%, only if the booking is not made a few weeks in advance. Not only this way, but a cheap Celebrity Cruise can be availed of in some other ways as well, such as booking with a group, booking off-season, booking online and taking advantage of package deals.

In year-around destinations, lots of the cheap Celebrity Cruises are available during off-season. In comparison with the Mexican Riviera, slow or “shoulder” seasons for Alaska have distinct features. Some important destinations and their slow seasons are as follows:

1. Bermuda- April-May and September-October
2. Alaska- May and September
3. The Caribbean- late April-May, September-early January
4. Canada/New England- July-August
5. Eastern and Western Mediterranean- March-April and September-November
6. Hawaii- late August, late November, and February
7. Mexican Riviera- early January and May, October-November

Sometimes the deal of Celebrity Cruises depends on whether the booking is for a group of people or a family, or for senior citizens. Here senior citizens are those persons who are 55 years old or more than that. For the booking of senior citizens, one should either call a cruise travel specialist or book directly with Celebrity Cruises. At this point of time, some age proof is indispensably required.

Cruise Vacations – Best Deals

Nowadays, cruising has become way cheaper than the old times. In fact it is now one of the cheapest ways to spend holidays with the whole family. Those people who seek to spend their holidays in a relaxing and entertaining way, cruising is the best and the cheapest way to do so. Cruising is a great way of spending holidays with family and children and that too in a very illusive manner without spending much money. Cruises have become the favorite of Americans as well as the tourists from other countries also. This way of spending holidays has become most popular among the tourists all around the world. This is because this is the most affordable way of spending holidays and full enjoyment of people belonging to all age groups is guaranteed.

But if a person gets a free trip to a cruise holiday then there is no way to express the happiness of that person. Today, no holiday package can complete with a full cruise package loaded with all the amenities and facilities available on board. Free vacation cruises are packages which include all the facilities which are included in a paid cruise package. But still the person does not have to pay even a dollar for the fair or to avail any of the facilities available on board. These free vacation cruise packages can be won in competitions or lucky draws. These are also granted to many people as surprise gifts on buying some other package from a travel agent. Besides these, there are many other sources from which a person can get a free vacation cruise package and avail it to enjoy his cruise and stay on board.

There are various features which are included in a free vacation cruise which may or may not present in a paid cruise package. These services include free accommodations, 24 hour room service (but the tip has to be given from the pocket), three meals per day, on board snacks, and various free services like internet, phone, entry to the club (if present on board) and so on. There are various cruise lines which also offer airport transfer fees and taxes. The best way to get a free vacation cruise is to organize a group cruise and along with that group the person will get a free vacation cruise as his commission. Various groups like church groups or a club can be convinced to go on a cruise and the person might get a free vacation cruise package. These days, cruises have overtaken all the other holiday packages and have become most famous among the vacationers.

Discount Cruises: The Popular Option

In recent years, there has been a large increase in the numbers of people that are taking vacation cruises. This is likely because they are so convenient and affordable, especially if you are able to take advantage of discount cruises. In fact, if you’re looking for discount vacation packages, cruises are likely to be the best option you have when it comes to getting the most for your money. No matter where you want to go, there is likely to be a cruise ship setting sail that you could have a ticket on. Interested in seeing Alaska? Asia? Jamaica? Mexico? Australia? In fact, there are discount cruises available heading towards all seven of the continents with thousands of itineraries to choose from, whether you want to be gone one week or three months.

As with so many things these days, the Internet really is the place to look for discount vacation packages. Whether you are looking for specials for group travel or are heading out on your own, there are a vast number of cruises at prices that are pretty much unbeatable. Interested in a short cruise, about 11 days in the Pacific? You could be in Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Christmas Island, Hilo, Lahaina, Nawiliwili, and Honolulu for under $2,000 per person. If you’re interested in something a bit longer, try this 32 day schedule on for size: San Francisco, San Diego, Hilo, Kona, Lahaina, Honolulu, Kauai, Raiatea, Bora Bora, Papeete, Moorea, Nuku Hiva, and San Diego. If you’re flying to the west coast to depart, you could even start your vacation a little early or extend it by finding some great discount vacation packages in the area you depart or arrive from!

Clearly, whether you’re heading off to the Caribbean for some island fun or exploring parts of Europe or Asia, your destinations are going to be first rate. Of course, don’t forget the accommodations on board- don’t make the mistake of thinking that because you’re on a discount cruise that you won’t have nice accommodations. These are luxury cruise liners, after all, with all the amenities that you might expect to find at a resort hotel. Usually, discount tickets are available through bulk rates or by purchasing last minute tickets that otherwise would not have sold. Now, you might have a inside cabin (no ocean views) but when you compare that to the luxury on the rest of the ship, not having a window in the room you sleep in probably isn’t going to bother you too much.

You can also find specialty cruises that appeal to different interests or hobbies. Take, for example, the Pacific WWII historical cruise that travels though Auckland, Tauranga, Bay Of Isles, Noumea, Honiara, Rabaul, Yap Island, Guam, Saipan, Naha, Nagasaki, and Osaka. Can you imagine what it might be like to take your child on such a cruise? It would be the kind of educational experience they would never forget, not to mention being a fun trip for the family to take together. It might just make a historian out of you.

Caribbean Cruise Guide

There are many people across the world that plan to travel on the Caribbean cruise ships to spend their holidays and have a relaxing time of their life away from the fast life of the metropolitan cities. But among these people only a few of them have an idea about the sub types of the Caribbean cruises and their details about which cruise belongs to which place. Rest of them does not know about the sub divisions of the Caribbean cruises which may lead them to end up in wrong cruises in which they never wanted to travel. So to avoid such kind of situation a quick guide is given here for those people who do not have any idea about the Caribbean cruises. There are several cruise lines that are categorized under the heading of the Caribbean cruises. These include Carnival Cruise lines, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise lines, and most importantly the Royal Cruise lines. Among these the Royal cruise lines are the most famous among the tourists through out the world.

The carnival Caribbean cruise was found in the year 1972 by a man named Ted Arison. This cruise is currently owned by Carnival Corporation which also own a number of cruise lines like Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, Costa Cruises, Windstar Cruises and the Yachts of Seabourn. The Carnival Cruise ships are also knows as the “fun ships” because of their Las Vegas style of decoration and a lot of entertainment available on the ship itself. The Carnival cruise holds around 8 classes in their ships which sail in the Caribbean throughout the year with Miami as their starting point. The Princess Cruises are famous for their “Love Boats” because they were aired as love boats on some television in the early seventies. They are also famous for giving a lot of choices to their customers regarding on board facilities and services. These ships also cruise in the Caribbean throughout the year with Miami as their starting point.

The Norwegian cruise lines, also called the NCL, were established in the year 1966 by men named Knut Kostler and Ted Arison. NCL was the first company to combine the air and sea modes of traveling together into one package. This provided the tourists an opportunity to travel long distances at very low costs and that too with all the facilities available on board. It was also the first ever cruise which traveled across the Caribbean Sea. It also offered the first internet café floating in the sea on a ship along with mobile and wi-fi services that were again available on the board itself. The Royal Caribbean cruise lines have developed in the last few years and have introduced several innovative ships. They have over 20 kinds of ships in service that a person can choose from according to his needs. They have voyager class ships available which no other cruise line offers in their package. This makes Royal Caribbean cruise different from others.

Types of Caribbean Cruises

When it comes to spending holidays, most people think of some place where they could find peace and spend all their time in the beauty of the nature which greenery all around them. Caribbean cruises are the best option for these people who want their fast lives to be put at rest for some time and relax in green surrounding all around them. The cruise ships mostly cruise through the islands in the Caribbean Sea which have one of the most beautiful collections of plants and trees and a wide variety of wildlife and birds which nobody would find in the whole world. The Caribbean cruises are of three types, namely, western Caribbean, eastern Caribbean and southern Caribbean. These three types of Caribbean cruises cover different types of landscapes and tourist points. They also cover different places with different climatic conditions and different kinds of people dwelling there.

Mostly people are not quite familiar with the routes of these different cruise routes. So this article explains all the routes of these different cruises. Starting with the western Caribbean cruise route, it commences from the Galveston; New Orleans; Miami or sometimes from Port Canaveral. All these places are present in the Florida state in the United States of America. These routes stop at various ports like Mexico, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Jamaican Islands. The western Caribbean cruise takes around four to seven days to complete one round of the cruise. The stoppage time at the islands or ports is less because the cruise has to be completed in a comparatively lesser time. But people come back being satisfied with the trip and they get to explore a lot of things like forests and wildlife in different islands of the western cruise route.

The eastern Caribbean cruise mostly gets departed from the Miami Port in Florida otherwise from Port Canaveral or sometimes even New York. The Eastern Caribbean cruise route mainly includes ports like San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Labadie. But the most beautiful Caribbean cruise which is most appreciated by the tourists is the southern route of the Caribbean cruise. It mainly departs from San Juan and lasts up to 8 days. The most beautiful sea spots and lands are covered in this route only. The main ports covered in this route are St. Thomas, St. Marteen, St, Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, and Aruba. But different people have different preferences while some want to go on eastern or western cruise the others appreciate the southern cruise.

Discount Cruises and More

While cruises have always been a very popular vacation option, discount cruises are coming more and more to the forefront of travel trends. For a long time, people confused how much you paid for a cruise with the quality of the cruise. This of course, was not the case. Discount vacation packages are usually discounted because the tickets were either bought in bulk by a company who resells the travel plans for less than the price retailed by the original travel company, or because travelers are willing to travel on short notice and can therefor take advantage of last minute discounts. In the case of the latter, these are tickets that would have gone for the normal price only weeks before, but because it is unlikely that they would sell in the interim period before the trip, they are discounted as an incentive for buyers.

Group travel is another way that many people are able to save money on their travel plans. Even when bought at full-price, group travel plans offer a wide variety of trips that would cost a great deal more had they been paid for as an individual. By purchasing in bulk, companies offering group travel plans can pay far less for everything from hotels, train tickets, museum entry, etc. If you dislike waiting in lines, then you’ll likely love group travel- whether you are at customs or a historic homesite, you won’t have to interact with the usual “wait your turn” way of life. I can remember one time I was on a bus with a group of people traveling from British Columbia down into Seattle and when we got to customs the car lanes were absolutely packed. I was thinking “oh no, this is going to take forever,” but when we pulled off into the group area, we all got off the bus, were processed immediately, and were right back on the road before I knew it. It is the combination of little things like that that can make group travel feel like the only way to go.

Of course, it is also one of the very best ways to completely alleviate the pressure of planning your vacation. Imagine not having to worry about the budget, factoring in gas prices or the cost of taxis in any given city, and wondering about unexpected expenses. If you didn’t have to learn the train schedules or figure out where to stay, would you feel free to travel more often? For many people, the logistics of figuring it all out is more than they want to deal with. Rather than worry about all that, it is usually best to let the professionals handle the details. Then, your main job is just to show up and enjoy the trip. Sounds pretty good when you put it that way, right?

Well, it gets even better. There are also advantages other than than not having to plan the trip yourself. Guided trips usually encompass a great deal more sight-seeing than you would manage on your own. Both planning and more awareness of the area and it’s offerings are what goes into creating that reality. There is also something to be said about the comfort and safety of being in a group. You have ready-made travel companions, sure, but you also have people who know where you’ve gone and when you should be back- something that solo travelers don’t have. Should you have a medical emergency, that means there are people around you who can help, or go get help, depending on the situation. All in all, it’s a pretty brilliant way to travel!
